Project Overview
IAAPA is well-known in the thrill ride industry for its annual trade show which showcases new thrill rides available to theme parks around the world. However, due to the global pandemic, the industry has found itself changed both in terms of thrill ride attendance and handling event shows such as this. To combat both of these, IAAPA has decided to pilot a new virtual event. This event would be a virtual show that would have areas that are open to the general public, as well as sections available only to members and select guests.

Problem Statement
IAAPA will need to establish Coastcon as a separate brand from IAAPA. This is why CoastCon requires a complete branding elements, a logo, a website and a virtual showfloor.
Solution
CoastCon is a completely new take on conventions. This is why IAAPA will need exclusive branding for Coastcon. The take on new branding should be differentiated from any event that has been conducted in the past. This is why, IAAPA will need branding materials, including a logo, stationary, digital tickets, ticket sales web advertisements, virtual badges, and physical materials.

Recommendations
Given that Coastcon is exclusively online, CoastCon will need a website where users can get the feel of being at a real convention. Our objective is to make this a seamless and pleasant experience for those attending the event. This website will include marketing areas, event areas, and a virtual show floor.
In order to keep those who will attend the event updated on what is happening at Coastcon, IAAPA will need multiple email templates that include the pre event, during event and post event updates.
For CoastCon, having a website would be necessary. The website would be where the convention takes place, and is the perfect opportunity to leave a mark on those attending the event. To assure success, IAAPA will need marketing areas prior to the event.
These areas will include a homepage. The homepage should be a preview of the overall website content. This will include the overview of the event, feature speakers, about CoastCon and other areas. Coastcon’s website will also have different tabs, including schedule of events, speakers page, our sponsors, about IAAPA, ticket sales, and social media links.
Once CoastCon starts, the website will automatically switch to show the event areas. The event areas would include a member area, where there will be a login in for all registered attendees of the event, a guest account page, where attendees will be able to share information with attendees, a scheduling page, where guest will be able to view different events and add them to their schedule, a gamification section, where users are able to get badges for any achievements acquired in the convention, a social area, where attendees can interact and connect with others and a download area, where users can download items like name badges, convention viewing areas and any other items.
